Adım 1 — Gri Karar Matrisi (GDMM) oluştur. Her ⊗x_{ij} = [x_{ij}^α, x_{ij}^γ] bir gri aralıktır. Optimal satır A0 ekle: fayda kriterleri için ⊗x_{0j} = max_i ⊗x_{ij}; maliyet için ⊗x_{0j} = min_i ⊗x_{ij}.
LaTeX
\otimes x_{ij} = [x_{ij}^{\alpha}, x_{ij}^{\gamma}],\quad x_{ij}^{\alpha} \leq x_{ij}^{\gamma} \otimes x_{0j} = \begin{cases}\max_i \otimes x_{ij} & j\in J^{+}\\ \min_i \otimes x_{ij}^{*} & j\in J^{-}\end{cases} -
Adım 2 — GDMM'yi normalleştir. Maliyet kriterleri için önce ⊗x*_ij = [1/x_ij^γ, 1/x_ij^α] dönüşümü yap. Ardından (fayda yönünde): ⊗x̄_ij = [x_ij^α / Σ x_kj^γ, x_ij^γ / Σ x_kj^α].
LaTeX
j\in J^{-}: \quad \otimes x^{*}_{ij} = (\otimes x_{ij})^{-1} = \left[\tfrac{1}{x^{\gamma}_{ij}},\, \tfrac{1}{x^{\alpha}_{ij}}\right] \quad\text{[Eq.7 applied]} \otimes\bar{x}_{ij} = \frac{\otimes x_{ij}}{\sum_{k=0}^{m}\otimes x_{kj}} = \left[\frac{x^{\alpha}_{ij}}{\sum_k x^{\gamma}_{kj}},\; \frac{x^{\gamma}_{ij}}{\sum_k x^{\alpha}_{kj}}\right] -
Adım 3 — Normalleştirilmiş-ağırlıklı matris hesapla: ⊗x̂_ij = ⊗x̄_ij × ⊗w_j = [x̄_ij^α × w_j^α, x̄_ij^γ × w_j^γ]. Kısıt: Σ w_j = 1.
LaTeX
\sum_{j=1}^n w_j = 1, \quad w_j \in (0,1) \otimes\hat{x}_{ij} = \otimes\bar{x}_{ij} \times \otimes w_j = \left[\bar{x}^{\alpha}_{ij} \cdot w^{\alpha}_j,\; \bar{x}^{\gamma}_{ij} \cdot w^{\gamma}_j\right] -
Adım 4 — Gri optimalite fonksiyonu: ⊗S_i = [Σ x̂_ij^α, Σ x̂_ij^γ]. Ardından beyazlaştırma: S_i = (S_i^α + S_i^γ)/2.
LaTeX
\otimes S_i = \sum_{j=1}^{n} \otimes\hat{x}_{ij} = \left[\sum_j \hat{x}^{\alpha}_{ij},\; \sum_j \hat{x}^{\gamma}_{ij}\right] \quad\text{[Eq.16]} S_i = \tfrac{1}{2}\left(S_i^{\alpha} + S_i^{\gamma}\right) \quad\text{[Eq.17 — whitenisation]} -
Adım 5 — Fayda derecesi K_i = S_i / S_0 ∈ [0,1]. K_i'yi büyükten küçüğe sırala.
LaTeX
K_i = \frac{S_i}{S_0},\quad K_0 = 1,\quad 0 \le K_i \le 1 \quad\text{[Eq.18]}

Sezgi
GREY-ARAS (ARAS-G), Turskis-Zavadskas (2010, Informatica) tarafından önerilen ARAS'ın grey-number (interval-valued) uzantısıdır. Grey theory (Deng 1982) fuzzy set teorisine alternatif bir belirsizlik temsili sunar: ⊗n = [α,γ] = {x | α ≤ x ≤ γ}, alt ve üst sınır arasındaki TÜM noktalar eşit olası kabul edilir (membership function YOKTUR - fuzzy ile temel fark budur). White number α=γ (kesin bilgi), grey number α<γ (eksik bilgi), black number α→-∞, γ→∞ (bilgi yok) - paper §2 üçlü sınıflandırma. ARAS-G algoritmik akışı klasik ARAS ile özdeştir: optimal alternatif ⊗A_0 inşası → grey normalizasyon (benefit Eq.11 sum-based, cost iki-aşamalı Eq.12) → ağırlıklı toplam ⊗S_i Eq.16 → centroid 2-term defuzz Eq.17 → utility degree K_i = S_i/S_0 Eq.18. KRİTİK FARK FUZZY-ARAS ile: centroid 2-term (α+γ)/2 (grey interval simetrik), FUZZY-ARAS'ta 3-term (α+β+γ)/3 (TFN üçgensel). Grey-ARAS tedarikçi/sürdürülebilir yatırım/transport-altyapı seçimi alanlarında 2010 sonrası yaygın benimsenmiştir.
Sonucu okuma: grey-aras extends ARAS to handle Grey uncertainty. All arithmetic operations (normalisation, weighting, distance computation) are performed using Grey Interval Number (GIN: [x̲, x̄]) algebra. The final scores are defuzzified via whitenisation: (x̲ + x̄)/2 before ranking.
Varsayımlar
- Decision matrix entries are valid Grey numbers/tuples
- Underlying crisp method's compensation assumption holds in uncertain space
- All decision-maker(s) and experts use the same linguistic/uncertainty scale
Ne zaman kullanılmaz
- Classical data sufficient - use base ARAS directly (avoid unnecessary uncertainty layer)
- Aggregation operator (PFWA/PFOWA/etc.) not specified - output ambiguous
Sınırlılıklar
- Assumes: Decision matrix entries are valid Grey numbers/tuples
- Assumes: Underlying crisp method's compensation assumption holds in uncertain space
- Assumes: All decision-maker(s) and experts use the same linguistic/uncertainty scale
Sık yapılan hatalar
- Değer-uzayı ihlali: hesaplamadan önce tüm girişlerin GIN: x̲ ≤ x̄ (lower and upper bounds of interval) koşulunu sağladığından emin olun.
- Defuzzifikasyon yöntemi sıralamayı etkiler: whitenisation: (x̲ + x̄)/2 kanonik seçimdir.
Hesap adımları ve dayanakları

Form Grey Decision-Making Matrix (GDMM). Each entry ⊗x_{ij} = [x_{ij}^α, x_{ij}^γ] is a grey interval. Append optimal row A0: for benefit criteria ⊗x_{0j} = max_i ⊗x_{ij}; for cost criteria ⊗x_{0j} = min_i ⊗x_{ij}. \otimes x_{0j} = \begin{cases}\max_i \otimes x_{ij} & j\in J^{+}\\ \min_i \otimes x_{ij}^{*} & j\in J^{-}\end{cases}
Dayanak: Turskis & Zavadskas 2010, §2 Eqs.(1)-(7); §3 Eqs.(8)-(9). Grey operations: addition (α+α,γ+γ), multiplication (αα,γγ), inverse (1/γ,1/α).
-
Normalize GDMM. For cost criteria, first convert ⊗x*_ij = (⊗x_ij)^{-1} = [1/x_ij^γ, 1/x_ij^α]. Then for all criteria (benefit direction): ⊗x̄_ij = ⊗x_ij / Σ_{k=0}^m ⊗x_kj = [x_ij^α / Σ x_kj^γ, x_ij^γ / Σ x_kj^α]. \otimes\bar{x}_{ij} = \frac{\otimes x_{ij}}{\sum_{k=0}^{m}\otimes x_{kj}} = \left[\frac{x^{\alpha}_{ij}}{\sum_k x^{\gamma}_{kj}},\; \frac{x^{\gamma}_{ij}}{\sum_k x^{\alpha}_{kj}}\right]
Dayanak: Turskis & Zavadskas 2010, §3 Eqs.(11)-(12). Grey division rule: [a/b]=[aα/bγ, aγ/bα] from Eq.(5).
-
Compute normalized-weighted matrix. Multiply each normalised grey entry by the grey criterion weight: ⊗x̂_ij = ⊗x̄_ij × ⊗w_j = [x̄_ij^α × w_j^α, x̄_ij^γ × w_j^γ]. Constraint: Σ w_j = 1. \otimes\hat{x}_{ij} = \otimes\bar{x}_{ij} \times \otimes w_j = \left[\bar{x}^{\alpha}_{ij} \cdot w^{\alpha}_j,\; \bar{x}^{\gamma}_{ij} \cdot w^{\gamma}_j\right]
Dayanak: Turskis & Zavadskas 2010, §3 Eqs.(13),(15). Grey multiplication: [a×b]=[aα×bα, aγ×bγ] from Eq.(4).
-
Compute grey optimality function ⊗S_i = Σ_j ⊗x̂_ij = [Σ x̂_ij^α, Σ x̂_ij^γ]. Then whitenise (defuzzify) via centre-of-area: S_i = (1/2)(S_i^α + S_i^γ). S_i = \tfrac{1}{2}\left(S_i^{\alpha} + S_i^{\gamma}\right) \quad\text{[Eq.17 - whitenisation]}
Dayanak: Turskis & Zavadskas 2010, §3 Eqs.(16)-(17). Grey addition: Eq.(2).
-
Compute utility degree K_i = S_i / S_0 ∈ [0,1] comparing each alternative against the optimal A0. Rank alternatives by K_i descending.
Dayanak: Turskis & Zavadskas 2010, §3 Eq.(18).
